Licenced use

If you would like to rely on your own development resources, we would be happy to support and advise you during your development phase. We offer support for specific elements of individual phases of implementing the processes or for the entire development period in the form of regular workshops. The process-oriented algorithms can then be used on the basis of a licencing contract.

Retrofit or Upgrade

Battery systems that are no longer usable due to excessive misalignment in the cell network can be reactivated with a subsequently installed Q-Leveling process (Retrofit / Second Life).

Are you already using a groundbreaking system architecture for your battery management? Then your existing BMS can most likely be enhanced with η-Leveling simply by adjusting the control algorithms. In this case, you would be eligible for a use licence for the process (Upgrade).

From initial designs to the development of the electronic components to the certification of the final product, we attend to all of the necessary tasks for you, including functional safety tasks.

BMS with Q-Leveling: Certified functional safety

industrie automation Energiesysteme (iaE) is a manufacturer of charging technology for traction applications that uses Q-Leveling battery management. Q-Leveling battery management has now been certified according to EN ISO 13849 (safety functions). The main reason for BENNING CMS Technology (BCT) to use Q-Leveling is to increase battery service life, which in turn will reduce the number of service calls.

Leveling rather than balancing…
…because it does away with the battery resting periods

Battery resting periods are used for balancing in electromobility. However, balancing can only start once the charging process is finished, which causes considerable delay. The batteries of electric cars that are driven every day may never have a true resting period. This is where battery management systems (BMS) are advantageous, because instead of balancing based on voltage, they level, i.e. carry out efficiency leveling. Leveling only takes a few seconds without the need for resting periods.
